Why Steel?

Thin tubes are just sexy!Old material that we associate with alot of weight. But used properly, this material offers excellent performance. The steel frame absorbs vibrationsperfectly and, combined with the aluminium alloy rockers, guarantees highstiffness and the ability to absorb shocks while maintaining a reasonableweight.Compared to other materials, steelretains its physical properties over time.

Just Weld It Up

Around the year 2010, I found myself drawn to downhill mountain biking and the lifestyle it entails,and I became completely hooked. It is the combination of engineering, sport,nature and friends that I enjoy about it the most. Getting a good ride in andthen enjoying a beer with friends by the evening campfire somewhere in the mountains is priceless.

And since I have a strong affinity forengineering and technology, I had long been tempted by the idea of developingmy own frame.

It started simply - with an injury.When you break your ankle it gives you plenty of time to think, so I beganworking on my first full suspension frame. A steel frame. I went through theentire process of making a bike frame, it was a long way to go. Long hours atthe computer screen designing the kinematics, the construction, conductingstress analyses. Working out how to actually make such a frame with limitedfunds. I learnt how to weld. Eventually, I managed to complete my first frameand rode it for the whole season without any issue. I gained a lot ofexperience and kept refining this frame until the Naosm frame of today wasborn. And I keep working on more.
